Who We Are

The Parents Leadership Council (PLC) is a group of current Yale College parents committed to strengthening the university through engagement and philanthropic support.

PLC members live around the world and serve as informal Yale ambassadors in their home communities. They often volunteer to host events for Yale parents, alumni, and friends. Parents are invited to join the PLC by the dean of Yale College. Each PLC family supports Yale through generous philanthropic gifts annually.

Chairs’ Greetings

As the chairs of the Parents Leadership Council, it is our pleasure to welcome you all – both returning PLC members as well as our new Class of 2029 parents. We look forward to working together to support Yale and, especially, President Maurie McInnis ’96 PhD, the university’s 24th leader.

Our fall and winter campus meetings will be an opportunity to reconnect with and meet incoming parents. We count on PLC members not only for leadership and financial support, but also for timely insights as parents of current Yalies. Please reach out to us at parents@yale.edu if you have any questions or suggestions. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!

Our very best,

Claudia Taylor Overstrom ’89, P ’25, P ’26
