A Message from the Dean

As dean of Yale College, my greatest priority is to provide undergraduates with an outstanding academic experience enhanced by a superlative residential and extracurricular program. The Parents Leadership Council is similarly committed to strengthening the educational experience for all students, and I look forward to welcoming the Class of 2028!
Parents Leadership Council members are both philanthropic leaders and thought leaders, extending their generosity to the Parents Annual Fund, supporting the university’s top priorities, and contributing valuable insights regarding the Yale College experience. Contributions from PLC members have recently bolstered Yale’s For Humanity campaign to help students and scholars discover new knowledge and improve the world for future generations. PLC members have also guided me in defining my priorities for Yale College. These include expanding educational opportunities, encouraging curricular innovation, and building a close-knit and open-minded community.
Membership on this council allows you to make meaningful connections with Yale’s dynamic faculty and administration—as well as with other Yale parents—while your children pursue scholarship and embrace community on campus. PLC members help to equip Yale College with the resources needed to respond to emerging student needs and develop new undergraduate initiatives. PLC members also serve as informal Yale ambassadors in their home communities, hosting events worldwide.
Thank you for helping to ensure that Yale remains the global research institution most committed to undergraduate teaching, and for supporting the Dean’s Office in advancing the student experience at Yale.
